IAM Local Lodge 2339 Consolidation Update.

Brothers & Sisters,

Like many of you, I was surprised by the news of 2339H, 2339O and 2339A being merged into our Local Lodge 2339N effective July 1st. Let me begin by officially welcoming all IAM Flight Attendants to 2339N.

Although some have voiced a perception that this will negatively impact the membership, I have no doubt that it will only make us stronger. There have already been many false assumptions being made on social media. Please don't buy into the negativity, and rest assured that I will work, as your local lodge President, extremely hard to unify all the Executive Board members from all the Locals and find roles for them in 2339N. If we focus on the positive and working together the sky is the limit. This new Local Lodge will be what we make of it.

I plan to meet with the Executive Board and IAM leadership in the coming weeks to discuss a plan to best service the membership moving forward together. This will likely include meetings being held in every base in the system.

It is my understanding that Grievance Representatives will remain in place; however, there may be changes and hopefully growth in our committees. If you have been serving on a committee or would like to serve on a committee please email me at iamCarliCappelli@gmail.com.
